Cake for Romantic Occasion

I have always admired and hoped to receive cake with that romantic feel. Somehow or rather, it is still a dream.
For this reason, I am always drawn to those cakes with romantic mode. Roses, especially the Aster Mauve and White ones are my favourites.

Let the cakes do the talking......

Love,

Carrie

"What's Imozine?" I hear you say

Dear friends,

As you can see on the right I linked my daughter's blog, imozine.blogspot.com
Basically, her blog features customized jewelery handmade by her. She's got a range of bracelets, necklaces and earrings designed and made by her. Actually, she was the one who introduced me to blogging and she started w-a-y before I did haha.

Btw, she's on the verge of updating her blog with more and more stuff (although that's a secret of the matter of what she's putting on) so what you see isn't all!

Cheers,

Carrie and co. (co. = her daughter Lol. She co-wrote it )

More Challenges (Tips and Ideas are welcomed!)

Just finished making these lemon cupcakes with roses. I made them violet and lilac, my daughters' favourite colours. They are not 'pink' people neither am I, I am 'blue' and they are 'violet', thus I always refrain buying or making anything pink for them.

I found these roses very tricky to make. If you are not careful, it ended up like a cabbage! I can still spot some cabbages in my works, ha ha. Nevertheless, I like these challenges as they pushed me work harder, as the saying goes, practice made perfect.

The lemon cupcakes are not sweet but appetizing. Well, of course the icing (roses) is VERY sweet in order to make it stiff enough for making roses.

I welcome all ideas and tips if there's any to make these roses and the icing less sweet but stiff enough. Thank you in advance.

Stay blessed,
Carrie

The Beginnings

Well, it was not intentional but accidental that I started this hobby. It all began with my hubby urged me, months ago to look into starting my own business or pursuing my master degree, etc...

After searching high & low, browsing through newspapers and magazines, google searching the net, I was more confused than ever. So, I stopped looking until one fine day, while dining at a restaurant only a minute drive from my condominium, I saw a school offering cake decorating courses. It made every sense to me as it's just 'a stone throw' away from my home and the time schedule is very convenient for a busy mother who does everything from chauffeur to tutor.

With very little expectation and faith, I began my classes...busy not only baking & decorating but looking for 'victims' to consume my 'masterpieces' so as not to waste them all. The challenges that came along hit hard on my 'overcomer' attitude, that I just needed to work harder & harder to perfect my skill.

I would like to encourage those who are thinking of trying new things to believe in yourselves, you would never know...

New Found Hobby in Cake Decoration

Hello World,

Welcome to my blog. Honestly, I'm very new to blogging and I hope to be able to benefit myself and others by starting this blog.

I have a new found hobby in cake decoration: by accident.

And voila! After 2 lessons it really hit me. After many trial & error, discoveries, failures and challenges I am moving even more fervent  than before. So, my daughter and friends encouraged me to start a blog...doing something relating to cakes and decorating.

First, here are my recent works created to begin with. I hope you will like it.

Blessings,

Carrie
